4th of July

"Yankee doodle, keep it up,
Yankee doodle dandy;
Mind the music and the step,
And with the girls be handy."
(lyrics via)
At the Iwo Jima Memorial in the 703!

I made it Virginia!! Virginia is for Lovers!

This 4th of July, actually my first 4th of July celebration, I was very lucky to have spent it with C nearby the Iwo Jima Memorial. The fireworks were spectacular. Nothing beats watching fireworks shoot up over the Washington Monument. Sorry Disney, these put you to shame!!! It was quite the experience, being a bear and all I was fortunate to be spared of the nasty bites that mosquitoes give. Others in attendance got some NASTY bites! It was a short walk from Georgetown about 2 miles. Too bad it was ridiculously hot & humid, as is expected in DC. Ugh, if it wasn't for the heat the walk over might have been bearable. But oh well! I had a blast! I hope everyone enjoyed their 4th this year. I know I did! :)

Welcome!

Hi Everyone!!!

And welcome to my little piece on the world wide web! I'm Dexter of The Adventures of Dexter. Now you may ask yourself who is Dexter? Well, I'll give you a quick little biography of myself.

I was born on December 24th (yes, that's right on Christmas Eve), well not really born as more gifted to a special someone. I have an amazing companion over at uno con leche, which is another pretty amazing blog on the wonderful world wide web! So far I've been fortunate to travel to San Francisco, DC, NYC, Boston, and a few others. This blog will chronicle my journeys as I accompany Christina on her travels. I hope you learn a bit more about these places and myself.
